The retention periods for different categories of personal data are outlined below:
Customer Information (Order History, Account Details, Contact Information): We will retain your personal data for as long as you remain an active customer. After you stop being an active customer, we may retain your personal information for up to 7 years in order to comply with legal and financial obligations, such as tax laws and accounting requirements. This is in line with the UK’s legal obligation to retain financial records for a minimum period.
Payment Information: In accordance with financial regulations, we will retain payment details (such as card information) for a period of up to 6 months after a transaction has been completed. This allows us to address any potential queries, disputes, or fraud investigations. If legal requirements necessitate a longer retention period, we will retain the data in compliance with those laws.
CCTV and Dashcam Footage: CCTV and dashcam footage, including video and audio recordings, will generally be retained for a maximum of 30 days, unless required for a longer period due to ongoing investigations, security purposes, or legal proceedings. In cases where the footage is necessary for the investigation of a crime or to protect public safety, it may be retained for a longer period in accordance with relevant laws.
Service Updates and Marketing Data: Information related to service updates and marketing communications will be retained for as long as you are subscribed to such communications, or until you withdraw your consent. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time, and upon withdrawal, we will cease processing your personal data for marketing purposes and delete it within 30 days.
Legal and Compliance Data: Personal data processed to comply with legal obligations (such as for tax, fraud detection, or other legal requirements) will be retained for the duration required by the relevant legislation. In most cases, this will be up to 7 years after the last processing activity, in line with UK tax and financial regulations.
Data Retention Beyond Legal or Contractual Requirements: In some cases, we may retain personal data beyond the periods set out above if required by law, or if it is necessary for legitimate interests (such as resolving disputes, maintaining records, or legal claims). We will regularly review the need to retain such data and ensure it is securely deleted when no longer necessary.
